I recently had the pleasure of photographing lovely baby Phoebe. It’s my first “REAL” gig as a photographer and I couldn’t have had a better subject. Since I knew the family and photographed them before here , I really wasn’t that nervous, surprisingly. I had my list of ideas that helped me when we needed to move on to another pose. Also, so important was the interaction between myself and the her Mom and Dad – we were collaborating on ideas on poses and that was my favorite. It wasn’t just me and baby – it was all of us thinking together and coming up with ideas together to capture these great moments. I have more coming – I just couldn’t help but post a sneak peek!
There is a quote that I have been thinking a lot about lately:
“I think the best pictures are often on the edges of any situation, I don't find photographing the situation nearly as interesting as photographing the edges.” ~William Albert Allard
I can’t wait to share with you the best of the rest – I have some great, what I call “in-between” shots (or “the edges” shots) that are some of my favorite!
Phoebe is a happy beautiful baby who is interested in the world around her. She has beautiful bright eyes that I think were really captured in the photographs. We took the pictures in her beautifully decorated nursery – I LOVE the color chosen for the walls – look at that rich color!
Thanks for letting me capture your baby girl Phoebe.

Oh Allison, so adorable! Lovely shot! (And for just a teeny tiny split second when I saw your post in my google reader I thought this might be YOUR new baby!)
