Alex was learning about bugs in the month of June at Preschool. He was coming home with such information! Slugs are slimy and so are worms. Bumble bees have stingers and sting you. Mosquitoes eat blood and make you itch! And don’t get him started on rolly-pollys!
He found a poor unsuspecting beetle this weekend and loved looking at it. He played with it for about 15 minutes before it was time to go into the house for lunch. He was enthralled by how it could walk up a wall – it must have sticky feet, he would say.
Thankfully the beetle was tough and had all its parts and was happy to be let go “to go find his Mommy and Daddy”.
