Banana mouth, part two

We’ve got another banana mouth in this family…

Alex was a banana mouth

Now Sara is definitely a banana mouth…

She points up to the bananas on the counter and says - manana, manana, manana!

She loves her bananas!

Sara’s feet

Who knew feet could be so expressive?

And so cute?

She’s learning sign-language and is learning to say “all-done” when she is finished eating

Although, sometimes it alternates between being “all done”, clapping for herself and being guilty (of being too cute!).  She’s doing a good job of figuring all this new stuff out!

RE: Meal policy

Re: Meal Policy

Lately, there seems to be some confusion regarding the Meal Policy at Torgesen’s Bed & Breakfast.
For your clarification, we have reprinted it below.
You will note that there is a new section on 'Snacks'. This was added after careful consideration and zero consultation.
All changes are effective immediately.

Meal Policy
  • There will be one common dinner provided for all lodgers each night.
  • You will eat it.
  • We do not care if you do not like tomatoes.
  • If you finish everything on your plate, you will get dessert.
  • If, after tasting the dinner you cannot choke it down, you may (a) make yourself some toast or (b) try your luck at the neighbor's; either way, dessert is off the cards.
  • There will be no food or drink (other than water) issued once you have brushed your teeth; therefore, we would recommend eating a second serve - tomatoes or no tomatoes - at dinner time.
  • Snacks will be available throughout the day.
  • 'Snacks' are defined as: fruit, nuts and carrot sticks.
  • If you really are starving, you will eat them.

Signed,
The Management

corn on the cob

We had corn on the cob for the first time this year and I snapped some really great pictures of Alex enjoying his first corn on the cob. He loved holding it just like we did even though he didn't make much progress on eating it - it sure was fun!

banana mouth

Alex loves eating bananas.
Whole bananas.
There have been days where he eats 3 whole bananas in one day.
Trust me - there are consequences to this (i.e. constipation) but he doesn't care.
He just loves bananas. He points up to the counter where the bananas are and says "ba" and we know this means I want a banana. When we give him a piece - he just shoves the whole thing in his mouth and ends up looking like this.

MMMMMM..... SO GOOD!

Alex has enjoyed many foods and likes to stick out his tongue to show us.

Alex eats pears!

Today Alex ate pears for the first time and loved it! Grandma Sandy canned these pears especially for Alex. He was reaching for the spoon and opening his mouth. His little tongue did its best to keep the pears in... but, sometimes they didn't stay in! Thanks Mom for the pears!
